For those who missed it, here’s the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct in its entirety. I do have thoughts on the console which I’ll share in a longer post, but wanted to give everyone some time to see it before publishing full details on my feed.
Expect thoughts to come later this evening (New York time).

There was a box involved. I will not elaborate further.
My 5th gen iPad was showing its age in the things I do every day, so it was time for an upgrade to the new A16 iPad!
I have a tradition: I can’t use a new device without first playing an Amy Winehouse song! My new iPad? “He Can Only Hold Her” — a fantastic song.
Just a raw photo of the moon in broad daylight. I’ll have to see if I can draw this on my new iPad!!
I don’t think my mom’s Maine coon Percival really appreciates this…
My mortal enemy? Adam Andrew. Easily. Stop closing your Apple Watch rings! It’s making me look bad in (checks notes) the middle of my day!

Virtual game cards make digital games even easier to use
The virtual game card feature for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 systems adds some of the flexibility of physical game cards to your digital game library! If you have two systems, you can digitally eject and load games from one system to another—and you can even lend games to members of your Nintendo Account family group.
I don’t know if this truly makes digital games “easier to use,” because it seems like it’s actually creating and solving a whole new problem, but okay! Sure!

As noted in the latest Windows 11 preview build, the company is removing the [OOBE /BypassNRO] command to “ensure that all users exit setup with internet connectivity and a Microsoft Account.”
This is BS and I really hope they get sued (even though I know they won’t.) Frankly, I hope they get even more backlash so they roll the change back.
There is a flag in the registry you can change to reenable the command, noted in that article. Hit Shift + F10 and run the following command:
reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\OOBE /v BypassNRO /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f shutdown /r /t 0It’ll do all of this for you. For a more automatic solution, can also apply this with software like Rufus.
But even with that extra step…this is just outrageously stupid. Sigh.
